What happens in our ASD Assessments?
We understand the idea of coming for an assessment can be worrying for some children and their families. We can't tell you exactly what will be asked during the assessment as it would influence the outcome, however we can outline the process and people involved.
Our private ASD assessments are coded by at least 3 clinicians enabling consideration of a range of aspects to assess this complex disorder with its wide variety of symptoms. The assessment itself includes two in-person sessions; one with your child and another with parents / carers. After the assessment, we’ll meet to explain the results, discuss the next steps, and guide you in supporting your child. Additional support and interventions are available if needed.
We appreciate that deciding whether an ASD assessment is right for your child can be challenging. We offer 2 routes into our private ASD assessments:
1. Book an ASD Assessment directly with no waiting lists (£2,800)
2. Book an 'Ask the Expert' consultation (£350) focused on determining whether an ASD Assessment is an appropriate next step or explore other possible explanations. The cost of this will be deducted off a subsequent ASD Assessment booking
