Austism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Assessment

What is Autism?

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn and behave. Click here to find out more about Autism.

Autism Assessments

At The Child Psychologist we have a multi-disciplinary team who conduct ASD assessments using the ‘Gold Standard’ of assessment tools which meets all NICE guidelines and provides a recognised medical diagnosis.

How do we get started?

We follow a staged approach to assessments so we can review the appropriateness of the pathway as we learn more about your child and family. If at any stage our Practitioners think a different approach would be beneficial then we will discuss this with you. We start with a short telephone with a Practitioner who will have a brief discussion with you about why you have approached us about an ASD assessment, explain the assessment and answer questions about the process.

Get in touch with the team if you have any questions or would like to book an assessment.

Assessment Availability

We hold monthly assessment clinics and currently have availability over the summer.
